Hello and welcome to our Manistique Area Schools Website! We are very proud of our schools and all of the exciting things that are happening in our district.
I am Maryann Boddy, Superintendent of Manistique Area Schools. I have been working in the field of education since 1989. Before coming to Manistique in 2015, I was the Middle and High School Principal at Iron Mountain Schools. I spent 13 years in that position after 2 years as Elementary Principal in Niagara WI. My classroom teaching experience was at Calumet Public Schools in the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula and St. Agnes Elementary and Middle School in Springfield IL.
I graduated from Houghton High School in 1983. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Medical Technology and Teaching Certification at Michigan Technological University in 1988, and my Master’s Degree in School Administration from Northern Michigan University in 2001.
My husband, Scott, and I will be celebrating 30 years of marriage in 2016. We are very proud of our 3 children and son-in-law: James, Megan (Andrew), and Bill. We enjoy spending time together boating, at sporting events or any other place we are able to be together.
I am proud to be an Emerald and invite you to call, email or stop by my office at any time if you have questions or concerns about anything that is going on at MAS.
